University of Huddersfield Degree Show 2010

The University of Huddersfield Transportation Design course recently exhibited the work of this year's graduating students as part of the School of Art and Design degree show. Huddersfield's course is very much a transportation – rather than purely automotive design-based degree – and the work of this year's graduating class therefore spans a broad range of projects, from automotive design, bikes and trains through to work that draws strongly from the world of product and interior design. Kia Sportage and Soul recall – affects 7000 UK cars

5,787 UK Kia Sportage models (pictured) are being recalled. Recalls are a fact of life for car makers, but at least the industry now tries to respond to problems as they arise, and before they cause damage to people of vehicles. This latest recall comes from Kia in the UK, which is recalling a total of 5,785 Sportage models and 1.432 Soul models to address a problem that ha been identified with the seat belt pre-tensioner mechanism.

'Need for Speed' Mustang to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson

With the release date of “Need for Speed” looming on March 14, Ford said on Friday that the film's star, a customized 2014 Mustang GT, will roll across the auction block April 12 at Barrett-Jackson in West Palm Beach, Fla. The silver screen celebrity is not your average GT. It was massaged by the folks at Ford and given a bag full of goodies.
